Cingapura, seven channels video installation, dimensions variable, 2008

Cingapura is a video installation about the city of Singapore and how it is perceived by seven Brazilians who are living and working in that city.

I asked each one of those seven Brazilians what was the image that they had of Singapore before they moved to the city and how has this image changed after moving and living there for some time. They narrate, both in Portuguese and in English, all their preconceptions and expectations about Singapore
and Asia and how this place, with its ambition to become a model community of the future, has had an impact in their lives.

The installation is composed of seven screens, each one showing the urban landscape, with the voice of each speaker, from the part of Singapore where
I met and filmed them.
